Lanes Of Lincoln Tunnel Closed Due To Struck Truck: NJ DOT
A stuck tractor-trailer has closed several lanes of the Lincoln Tunnel in New Jersey. NJ buses were delayed.
WEEHAWKEN, NJ — All New York-bound lanes of the Lincoln Tunnel were either closed or detoured just before 7 a.m. after an oversized tractor-trailer got stuck, said the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
"As of 6:48 a.m., there's an overheight tractor trailer at the Lincoln Tunnel center tunnel eastbound from New Jersey side in Weehawken Twp to New York side in New York. All lanes closed and detoured," said the DOT's traffic website, 511NJ.
The Port Authority's website indicated just before 8 a.m. that vehicles heading through the tunnel to Manhattan were subject to delays of at least an hour.
