Longtime Toy Shop Leaves Hoboken, Promising 'Exciting Shift'

Big Fun Toys on Hoboken's main street closed suddenly at the end of 2022, but promises an "exciting shift" in the business.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A major shopping destination for Hoboken families for 20 years has closed.

Big Fun Toys, located in a prime spot in the center of Hoboken's Washington Street, posted signage on its door at the end of 2022 saying it had closed, and the shop appears to have been cleared out.

But the signage says the Manasquan and Point Pleasant locations will stay open, and that a change is coming.
