Seven buses were to be used as trailers Thursday in the Macy's Parade. Now, other trailers in New York and New Jersey will be used instead.
Chief Mastandrea said the department got a call about the blaze at 5:46 a.m.
"A second call reported the fire to be multiple vehicles," he said. "Our units arrived on scene and found multiple buses on fire. Members worked to extinguish the fire and prevent the fire from extending to nearby exposure buildings. Minor fire extension was found in a nearby structure but was contained by the sprinkler system. The fire is under investigation."
Mastandrea said officials do not know the cause of the blaze.
