Madonna And George Michael Tribute Show Will (Still) Be Held On Hoboken Waterfront
The show will go on, organizers said: 30 local musicians will perform the music of Madonna and George Michael in Hoboken.
HOBOKEN, NJ — A planned Madonna/George Michael tribute concert will still be performed on the Hoboken waterfront Thursday night as scheduled, despite news of Madonna's hospitalization, said organizers of the event.
Madonna was rushed to the ICU on Wednesday due to a bacterial infection, spokespersons said.
"I've received a lot of input from the musicians performing tomorrow, regarding Madonna's unfortunate situation, and I feel it will fuel us to perform her tunes with love toward recovery, while making certain that her music soars," said an organizer on Wednesday night. (Should the situation change, this story will be updated.)

The concert at Sinatra Park is expected to draw more than 30 local musicians.
Each year, they "come together to celebrate and perform the music of a musical artist who has made an impact," noted a release.
This free show is outdoors and family-friendly, ALEO noted.
"Special thanks to Geri Fallo and Hoboken Division of Cultural Affairs for creating a platform for this to flourish," they said.
So go ahead, party like it's 1985.
