Man Fatally Shot In Hudson County Overnight: Officials

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A man was fatally shot in North Bergen late on Sunday night, officials said.

"The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the North Bergen Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting of a male on Paterson Plank Road," prosecutors posted on social media in the wee hours of Monday. "More to follow."

A Prosecutor's Office spokeswoman responded to followup questions by saying more information will be released later on Monday.

NJ.com reported that the shooting occurred around 11 p.m., and News 12 said it happened in front of the Mews apartment complex. Few other details were available Monday.
