23-Year-Old Man On Motorcycle Dies In Hudson County Hit-And-Run; Driver Sought
Prosecutors are seeking the driver after police found a severely injured man in the street more than 10 blocks from his motorcycle.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Prosecutors in Hudson County are looking for more information in a fatal crash in which a motorcyclist was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. The man was found several blocks from his motorcycle and succumbed to his injuries.
The office of Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said that at approximately 9 p.m. Friday, the North Bergen Police Department was notified of a motorcycle lying in the road in the area of Granton and Liberty avenues in North Bergen, with no apparent operator.
Police then located an injured man in the area of 76th Street, several blocks from the motorcycle.

The man was later identified as Joshua Huayamave, age 23, of North Bergen.
He was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Palisades Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 9:40 p.m.

Investigators determined that his motorcycle had been hit by a vehicle that did not remain on the scene. The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the North Bergen Police
Department are investigating the case.
