Martha's Restaurant Opens In Former Uptown La Isla Spot In Hoboken

HOBOKEN, NJ — The owner of a popular restaurant in North Bergen has opened the doors to its new sister restaurant in Hoboken, Martha's.

Matha's — from the owner of Harry's Food and Drink in North Bergen — is currently open just for dinner, starting at 5 p.m. They say they'll be open for brunch and lunch in the future.

The restaurant is located at 25 12th St., the space formerly occupied by La Isla Uptown. (La Isla downtown, famous for Cuban sandwiches and French toast, is still open on lower Washington Street.)

They've already begun showing off their dishes, such as lobster paella with saffron-chorizo rice, sweet peppers, and peas. They're also showing off their cocktails.

Martha's social media account describes it as "A new American restaurant and bar."

The restaurant is two blocks west of the city's north waterfront.
