Martin Luther King Day In Hoboken: Closures, Parking Changes
Hoboken announced closures, charges to parking rules, and COVID testing site changes for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
HOBOKEN, NJ — What's closed and what's open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Hoboken this year?
The Hoboken library says it'll be closed that day.
The city of Hoboken announced the following:

- In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, municipal offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17.
- Street cleaning will be suspended on Monday, Jan. 17. All other parking regulations will be enforced.
- Waste collection and recycling will occur as regularly scheduled.
- The Senior Hop Shuttle will relaunch on Tuesday, Jan. 18, operating from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All other Hop shuttles will continue to be temporarily suspended through Jan. 22.
- The Hoboken Parking Utility Office remains on an adjusted schedule operating from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday during the week of Jan. 17.
- Due to the holiday, no construction activities will be conducted on Monday, Jan. 17. All construction projects will resume work on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
- The Recreation Department’s basketball league is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Jan 29. Schedules and further details will be sent to all registrants in the coming week.
- City operated COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 due to the holiday. Clinics will resume operations on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
