Multiple police agencies were called to the scene in an attempt to restore order after chaos erupted outside a Hoboken bar, authorities said

A massive brawl outside a Hoboken bar early Sunday morning ended with several injuries and arrests. Multiple police agencies were called to the scene in “an attempt to restore order” after chaos erupted in the “unruly” crowd, authorities said.
According to the Hoboken Police Department, the incident took place around 4:07 a.m. when two patrolling officers came across a large fight outside of the Hoboken Bar & Grill on Washington Street. As the officers attempted to break up the melee – which included several men and women - smaller pockets of fights began to form.
Overwhelmed by the “unruly” crowd, the officers called for backup and continued their attempt to stop the fight. At that time, a man later identified as Christian Caputo, 23, of Jersey City, allegedly threw one of the officers to the ground.

While the officers struggled to take control of Caputo, two other men allegedly charged at them and unsuccessfully tried to pull Caputo away before fleeing the scene. They were later identified as Robert Rosario, 21, of Jersey City, and Frank Henderson, 22, of Hoboken, police said.
As the officers placed Caputo in a police car and backup began to arrive, a crowd began to form around them. As one of the arriving officers began to clear a path around the car, Hashim Dyer, 21, of Hoboken, allegedly “jumped” him from behind. However, officers were able to gain control of Dyer and arrest him as well, authorities said.
