New Yorkers Should Visit One Hudson County Neighborhood For 'Must-Hit' Mexican Food: Eater
Eater Magazine sometimes discovers New Jersey all over again; in this case, 3 forms of "New York public transit" led to Oaxacan eats.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — When New Yorkers manage to pry themselves away from New York, their palates are delightfully surprised by New Jersey, as Eater Magazine acknowledged in a recent story about discovering regional Mexican food in Jersey City Heights.
The story from late last month, "Jersey City Heights Is a Must-Hit Mexican Food Destination," noted that the writer sampled five restaurants while visiting his editor in the Heights, located up the Palisades hills from Hoboken.
The story notes that Manhattanites must take "three forms of New York public transit" to get there, although one of those forms is likely a NJ Transit bus. (Hint: The light rail can take gourmands to even more Latin American food in West New York and surrounding environs.)
