More Than 2 Inches Of Rain Could Fall In Hoboken, Jersey City Saturday

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — After a mostly dry week, Hudson County is likely to get soaked for much of Saturday, forecasters say.

The National Weather Service says the rain will start some time after 11 a.m. Saturday. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

Up to a half inch may fall. Then, Saturday night, another 1-2 inches could fall.

Hoboken officials have said that the streets may flood if more than .08 inches of rain fall per hour.

Areas are more likely to flood at high tide on the Hudson River. That means 4:55 p.m. on Saturday and 5:12 a.m. on Sunday morning.
