Myron Mixon BBQ Being Replaced By Saka Sushi & Hibachi In Hoboken

Myron Mixon's Barbecue was short-lived in Hoboken, and is being replaced by Saka Sushi & Hibachi of New York.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Move over, Myron Mixon.

The barbecue chain that opened in Hoboken with much fanfare in December 2021, then closed in March with a promise to "be right back," is not coming back.

It's being replaced by Saka Sushi & Hibachi & Mocktail, according to signage hoisted on Wednesday afternoon, above the papered-over windows at 618 Washington St.

The eatery is the fourth new Asian cuisine restaurant coming to Hoboken's Washington Street in a short time, with Vietnamese and rice bowl eateries also recently opened or planned.
