Maroons Creamery To Open Friday In Hoboken

HOBOKEN, NJ — A new group of ice cream sundae shops is preparing to open its Hoboken location and has already opened a location in Ridgewood, they confirmed for Patch.

The Hoboken store will open this Friday, they said. Their Ridgewood store opened a week ago Monday.

The shop specializes in sundaes with a wealth of toppings.

"Get ready for bubble waffle cones, sundaes that reach for the door, and ice cream that perfect treat at the end of a long day ‘cause Maroons is openin’ near you!" they had posted on Facebook at the end of 2023.

The hours will be 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, and 12-10 on Sundays.

Last year, Maroons Creamery placed signage on the former uptown location of PromptMD at 1122 Washington St. in Hoboken.

After they posted their signage, they said that their shop will be "where ice cream dreams come true. We're the ice cream mad scientists who love turning simple ingredients into extraordinary flavors, textures, and experiences that will leave your taste buds doing a happy dance."

Earlier that year, a display in the same window had indicated that Surreal Creamery, a popular ice cream and tea restaurant with locations in New York City, Westfield, and New Brunswick, was coming to the site. But at some point, the plan changed.
