This coming Father's Day, Mile Square Church is continuing to prepare itself for launch this fall. Over the course of the past 6 months, the fledgling new church has been hosting monthly "preview services" to share with local community members what a Sunday morning at Mile Square Church is like.

However, Sunday morning services aren't the only thing that occupies the time of these entrepreneurial church members. They also put on a myriad of other local events. Several times a month they host and organize casual public gatherings at local pubs and restaurants with attention to building relationships and community. However, they also organize different kinds of events. One such event is a community conversation called "Real Talk". The pastor of the church facilitates the conversation and according to the website, "Real Talk is a discussion designed to raise the bar on the quality of the conversations that are worth having." They have discussed such topics as the legalization of marijuana, transgenderism, and gun rights all while maintaining a respectful and peaceable environment.

They are also involved in serving a local apartment community which is part of the Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA). Over the course of 2018 and into 2019, they have busied themselves with putting on monthly community events for the residents and other Hoboken neighbors. It's been a partnership that both the HHA and the church have been excited about and proud of.
