Time Changed For Hoboken Tree Lighting And Street Closure Tuesday

The lighting of the Hoboken Christmas tree will be held uptown on Tuesday, and some streets will be closed. The time has changed to later.

HOBOKEN, NJ — This year's Hoboken tree lighting ceremony will be held uptown, and the time has been changed.

The city of Hoboken and Hoboken Business Alliance will hold the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Tuesday at 5 p.m., rather than 4 p.m.

The holiday event will feature Elvis the Elf, a performance by the Garden Street School of the Performing Arts, and a guest appearance by Santa Claus.

Due to the event, 11th Street between Bloomfield Street and Washington Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Temporary no parking signs will be posted.
