NJ Lottery Player Instantly Wins $100K In Hudson County Thursday

A NJ Lottery customer walked into a Hudson County store and walked out $100K richer on Thursday, a spokesman said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A short workweek may be tough for some, but one NJ Lottery winner had a very good morning on Thursday when they instantly won $100,000 in Hudson County.

The player bought the ticket that included a "Quick Draw" at the 48 Tobacco Store in Union City, said a lottery spokesperson Thursday.

For no extra cost, the "Quick Draw" prints nine random jackpot numbers between 1 and 80. Depending on how much was paid for the ticket, the person will get a certain percent of the rolling jackpot.

This wasn't the first time that a player in Union City got lucky in recent history.

Just last month, a player in Union City won $90 million in the Mega Millions drawing, according to the NJ Lottery. Boone said the person cried when they found out they won.

48 Tobacco Store is located at 4801 Bergenline Ave.
