Buses To Be Diverted For Hoboken Little League Baseball Parade: See Timing

HOBOKEN, NJ — Play ball!

The Hoboken Little League Baseball Opening Day Parade is scheduled for Saturday.

NJ Transit buses that run on Washington Street will be diverted from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., the city said.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of 10th and Washington streets and head south on Washington Street.

It will turn left onto Fifth Street, ending at Sergeant William Fesken Memorial Field at Stevens Park.

Baseball and softball players will start lining up at 9 a.m.

Hoboken Little League will host a ceremony at the field at approximately 10:30 a.m., after players arrive.

During the ceremony, Hoboken RBI Softball and Hoboken Little League teams will be announced, alongside their coaches and sponsors. Teams will be joined by elected officials and community leaders.

Traffic Changes

There will be rolling street closures during the parade, the city said.

Buses will be diverted to Bloomfield Street and Hudson Street between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday, the city said.

Hoboken is said to be the birthplace of organized baseball. Hoboken Little League also has a place in history, as a player from the city, Maria Pepe, paved the way for girls to play Little League ball. Read more here.
