HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service posted updated snow totals Tuesday after a storm brought an accumulation to several North Jersey towns, but only dropped sleet on others.

Totals were reported to the NWS by individual spotters before 9 a.m. Tuesday. The totals are:

Hudson County

  • Harrison: 2.5 inches
  • Kearny: 2 inches
  • Hoboken: 1.2 inches

Newark Airport got 1.6 inches by the morning, the NWS said.

Forecasters are predicting a significant rain accumulation on Friday evening, and wind gusts up to 39 MPH. As of now, they predict, for Hudson County, "Rain. Steady temperature around 42. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible."

For those watching for potential flooding, high tide is at 6:29 p.m. that evening and 6:43 a.m. Saturday.
