Orthopaedic Physician John Capo, MD, Joins Barnabas Health Medical Group
Dr. Capo specializes in hand, wrist, elbow and nerve surgery and is skilled in microsurgery and soft-tissue wound coverage.

Barnabas Health Medical Group (BHMG) has announced the addition of John T. Capo, MD, a board-certified orthopaedic physician, to its network of primary and specialty care physicians. He is affiliated with Jersey City Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility.
Dr. Capo, who specializes in hand, wrist, elbow and nerve surgery and is skilled in microsurgery and soft-tissue wound coverage, is looking forward to working with Barnabas Health Medical Group to get patients back to full function.
“I want my patients to return to their daily activities and get the most out of their days. I want them to feel like that their problems are solved and their pain is relieved,” said Dr. Capo. “It’s especially important with hand care – they need their hands for day-to-day activities, whether it’s woodworking, knitting or playing with the kids. The hand is a critical part of relating to the world and other people.”

He is joining Dr. Frank Liporace to head a new Faculty Practice and Department of Orthopaedics at RWJ Barnabas-Jersey City Medical Center.
“Dr. Liporace and I are bringing world class care to the northern RWJBarnabas Health system. We’re both professors of Orthopaedics, we frequently teach and lecture around the country and the world, write papers and books, conduct research and actively teach residents,” said Dr. Capo. “The worst trauma that comes in is referred to us. We take care of some of the most challenging cases, and that’s what we want to do.”
