Paving Work On Washington Street In Hoboken Will Start Monday
Milling and paving will take place on Washington Street from Monday, April 15 to Thursday, April 18.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The milling and paving of Washington Street between 11th Street and 15th Street will occur next week from Monday, April 15 to Thursday, April 18 (weather permitting), according to city officials.
Modern traffic signals, as well as pedestrian countdown times are also being installed to help increase pedestrian safety, city officials stated in a news release.

“Washington Street will remain open to two-way traffic whenever possible until paving occurs, at which point certain intersections may be closed. No parking signs are posted on Washington Street and surrounding streets to facilitate the milling and paving. Periodic road closures on 11th – 15th Streets will occur on various days next week depending on the progress of milling and paving. Hoboken police will be on hand to help facilitate traffic.”
Adjustments to the New Jersey Transit bus routes normally traveling on Washington Street will occur next week beginning on Monday. Additional information on the route changes will be provided this weekend, officials said.
