Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Car In Hudson County Tuesday
A man was struck and killed by a driver on Tonnelle Avenue in Hudson County early Tuesday morning.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A North Bergen pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday morning and pronounced dead an hour later, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
Prosecutors said that around 5:54 a.m., the North Bergen Police Department was notified that a pedestrian was struck in the area of Tonnelle Avenue and 69th Street.

Officers found Angel Ruano, 64, of North Bergen with serious injuries.
He was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:47 a.m.

A preliminary investigation determined Ruano was struck by a 2005 Honda Civic traveling southbound on Tonnelle Avenue.
The driver, a 46-year-old Bronx man, was not injured and remained at the scene, prosecutors said.
