Pedestrian Hit While Crossing Street In Hoboken Sunday

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in Hoboken Sunday and taken to the hospital, police said.

HOBOKEN, NJ —A pedestrian was hit in the street near the Walgreen's in Hoboken Sunday, police said.

The crash occurred at the intersection of 13th Street and Willow Avenue at approximately 5:15 p.m.

"The driver was making a turn when he came in contact with a person crossing the street," Lt. Jonathan Mecka said. "The person who was struck was transported to a local hospital. The driver was issued multiple summons."

Summons were for failure to yield and two that were "paperwork related," Mecka said.

Police did not release further information.
