Popular Restaurant In Jersey City Closes For 'Next Few Weeks'

Patrons of one Jersey City restaurant are awaiting an update after it posted that it would be closed for several weeks of renovations.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A barbecue restaurant on Jersey City's West Side announced last week that it was closing for renovations "for the next few weeks," but has not elaborated.

Carvao BBQ posted on social media last Tuesday, "We'll keep you posted. We love you," and then wrote in the comments, "See you soon."

The bar and grill, at 686 Bergen Ave., features an open pit barbecue. They serve up ribs, rice, shrimp, finger food, guacamole, and cocktails, and have run popular karaoke nights.
