Building Evacuated In Hoboken Due To Possible Leak: Officials
A building in the southwest corner of Hoboken was evacuated due to a possible gas leak, officials said.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Crews headed to 700 First St. in Hoboken after 12:30 p.m. to investigate a possible gas leak, the Fire Department said in a message.
They said a residential building hads been evacuated as a precaution.
They wrote, "The @HobokenFire Dept and @HobokenOEM is on scene of a possible gas leak on the 700 block of First Street and as a precaution has ordered the evacuation of a residential building on the site. @PSEGdelivers is en route."

The area is in the southwest corner of town, near the border with Jersey City.
After 4 p.m., the Fire Department announced that "PSEG has made repairs and Hoboken OEM and Hoboken Fire have been released from the scene. Thanks for your patience.'
