Prisoner Found Hanging In Hudson County Jail Cell: Authorities
The 24-year-old woman was facing up to seven years in prison for kidnapping, a report says.

Authorities have identified a deceased, 24-year-old female prisoner found hanging in her cell at the Hudson County jail in Kearny on Wednesday.
According to police, Francheska Depena of Newark was found hanging from what appeared to be a bedsheet around 10 a.m.
Depena was facing up to seven years in prison for her role in kidnapping a woman in 2012, NJ.com reported.

She had recently pleaded guilty to kidnapping and a conspiracy charge and was awaiting sentencing, a spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office told NJ.com.
Corrections officers reportedly performed CPR and used a defibrillator on Depena before EMTs responded and transported her to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health, NJ.com stated.
