Puppies Found In Hudson County Garbage Get Forever Homes

Remember the defenseless puppies found discarded in a garbage can? Their stories have a happy ending, a New Jersey animal shelter says.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — When the staff of the Liberty Humane Society found a trio of defenseless, newborn puppies callously discarded in a household garbage can last October, they didn’t know if they would survive. But with some care and kindness, there’s a good news story to share in Hudson County, the shelter reports.

On Wednesday, the Jersey City-based animal shelter – which also services Hoboken – provided a heartwarming update in an email newsletter about the three puppies: they’re fully recovered and have been adopted into loving homes.

The puppies were discovered in a garbage can outside a residence on Pamrampo Avenue on the border of Jersey City and Bayonne on Oct. 12.
