‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ To Star Hoboken Residents In 2020
Former residents of the mile-square city, and a local doctor, may feature prominently in the RHONJ series and spinoffs next year.

HOBOKEN, N.J. – Fans of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” reality TV franchise got a bit of surprise news over the weekend when they saw video evidence that one of the show’s stars, Caroline Manzo – whose family has lived in Hoboken and whose sons own restaurants here – may appear in a new show with former co-star (and sometime frenemy) Theresa Giudice.
The popular reality series, abbreviated as RHONJ, premiered back in May of 2009, focusing on several families in and around Franklin Lakes, N.J.
After one of the featured families, the Manzos, gained celebrity status, Caroline's sons Albie and Chris Manzo moved to a bachelor pad on the Hoboken waterfront and opened several local businesses. Recently, they’ve been praised for their uptown eatery, Tenth Street Pizza and Pasta.

Should Caroline and the other Manzos make more appearances on the show in 2020, it’s likely that photogenic scenes Hoboken will make their own appearance as well, as they have before.
But a more likely scenario involves the appearance of a Hoboken-based doctor who has been scoring his share of screen time in the last few months. High-risk obstetrician Dr. David Principe, who works at CarePoint hospitals and has an office in Hoboken, has been dating another of the show’s stars, mother of two Dolores Catania, since 2017, reports say.

In the last year, Principe has had a few scenes on the show. Magazines reported that Principe is building his dream house, and while he waits for it to be finished, he has moved in with Catania – who also lives with her ex-husband.
“We can only imagine what those three chit-chat about in the morning around the breakfast table,” Bravo TV mused in November. But a month later, on the Dec. 11 episode, viewers got an answer when the ex-husband in question actually grilled Principe about his apparent lack of commitment to Catania. You can watch it here.
The show is now in its 10th season and will air its next episodes on Jan. 1, 2020 and Jan. 8, 2020.
