Atomic Wings Restaurants Coming To Hoboken And Jersey City: See When

The Atomic Wings chain will open its first six New Jersey locations, including two in North Jersey.

Just days after the Atomic Wings chicken chain announced that it will open six restaurants in New Jersey, a representative told Patch where the first two will be located.

The chain, which has 24 locations across the country, said Monday that it will open 20 more locations in the near future, including five in New York and six in New Jersey.

Three of the New Jersey locations will open by the end of this year, Morgan Gordon told Patch on Friday.

And the first two will be located in Hoboken and Jersey City, Gordon said.

They are likely to open in the third quarter of this year, Gordon said. The Jersey City location will open on the West Side.

More than 15 years ago, a restaurant owner tried to open an Atomic Wings in Jersey City, but found the permit process slow and eventually sued, according to reports at the time. But that situation was under a previous CEO and doesn't relate to the forthcoming rollout, Gordon said.

Atomic Wings is known for a menu of chicken items with unique sauces. Varieties include lemon pepper and truffle parm.

"Atomic Wings, the New York-born wing brand known for its fresh, never-frozen wings and bold flavor lineup, is entering a major new phase of growth with over 20 new locations expected to open," they announced in a release on Monday.

The company, founded in 1989, "has built a loyal following by staying true to its New York roots and differentiating itself in the highly competitive chicken category," they noted.

Gordon did not reveal more details about the coming stores, but Patch will provide updates when they're available.
