Special Events For Pi Day In Hoboken And Jersey City, Including Pizza Party

HOBOKEN, NJ — Saturday's date is March 14, and math enthusiasts have designated it "Pi Day" after the number used to determine the circumference of a circle. Pi equals 3.141592654... (who tried to memorize it just to prove their mastery?)

In North Jersey, several businesses are offering special promotions Saturday related to pie or pi.

Hoboken's Mathnasium, a tutoring spot for kids, is offering a pizza party on Saturday, but you have to sign up.

Meanwhile, Liberty Science Center in Jersey City has been hosting "Math Madness" events both for kids and for members. Kids can meet Elmo and the Count on Saturday and Sunday. Check out some of the events here.

Possible flavors include Key Lime, Raspberry Cream, French Silk, Lemon Cream, and Brookie Pie, available while supplies last.
