Stevens Institute In Hoboken Finds Elevated Lead In Water: Report
Five residential buildings have water that registered above EPA regulations, a report says.

Hoboken, NJ – Elevated levels of lead have been found at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, according to a report.
A late April round of testing in 18 of the university’s facilities revealed that five residential buildings – Davis, Palmer, Humphreys, 600 River Terrace and 604 River Terrace - have levels of lead that exceed EPA regulations, a Stevens spokesperson told NJ.com.
School authorities released the news of the elevated lead to students on May 17, the last day of final exams, NJ.com stated.

School officials told NJ.com that the affected water is safe for bathing and washing, but drinking or cooking use should be limited to cold water only and that students should allow it to run for two minutes before ingesting.
The school is awaiting results from a second round of testing, the report said.
