Stevens Institute’s 2019 Expo Will Feature Cutting-Edge Tech
A deterrent for active shooters and a "smart contact lens" for glaucoma patients are 2 of the ideas being explored by Stevens Tech students.

HOBOKEN, NJ — An annual event that showcases the diverse and intriguing projects being worked on by students at the Stevens Institute of Technology is returning to Hoboken for 2019.
The Stevens Innovation Expo will take place on Friday, May 3 across the college's campus. While not a public event, the expo will highlight several projects that benefit the community at large, including:
- A team of Stevens students have created a “safety solution” to deter active shooters
- A group of students designed a “smart contact lens” for glaucoma patients
- A Stevens Seawork team is exploring the potential for sustainable ocean farming
The expo will also feature the Ansary Entrepreneurship Competition, a student pitch competition. Learn more about the 2019 event here.
