HOBOKEN, NJ — Southend Lofts, Hoboken's newest apartment building on the west side of town, has begun leasing. A dumpling restaurant and Whole Foods supermarket will soon take up residence there as well.

The spot recently held a reception to allow local residents to preview the space. Mayor Emily Jabbour attended, and the Hoboken High School Band provided music.

A spokesperson for the developers, the Taurasi Group, said one-third of the 110 apartments had been leased by May 1.

Residents of Southend Lofts can use 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including The Overlook, an
eighth-floor rooftop terrace with a 40-foot swimming pool. Residents also can also enjoy Manhattan views, a coworking lounge, multi-sport simulator, children's playroom, and (for a fee) a parking garage.

Nana's Dim Sum and Dumplings is preparing to open at the spot, and a Whole Foods has plans to open later in the year.
