HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken Historical Museum hosts a weekly live interview series featuring the mile-square city's colorful characters, and has a special episode coming up this Thursday: A live interview from Mike Turner, a former Hoboken firefighter who competed in the last season of "Survivor."

On Thursday at 7 p.m., you can catch Turner walking the streets of the mile-square city interviewed by longtime city worker and friend Stu Chirichella.

This episode of "Hoboken Talks" is called " 'Hoboken Whisperers' Stu Chirichella and Mike Turner show us the streets of Hoboken through their eyes!"

The "Whisperers" is a reference to Turner's initial biographical video for the last season of "Survivor" in which he said he talked loudly, in what's known as the "Hoboken Whisper."

"These 'Hoboken Whisperers' have stories to tell about every street corner," the museum said. "Who will they bump into? Anything can happen! Mama Johnson Field, anyone?"

They noted: "Stu has worked at City Hall for 17 years and has lived in only three homes within a downtown “triangle.” He’s the 'best actor you’ve never heard of' and was recently seen in the Netflix comedy-drama 'The Good Cop.' He’s been clean and sober for 30 years and works to help others at the Guardian IOP rehab facility."

Turner was the oldest “Survivor” contestant in season 42, stranded with 17 other castaways in the beautiful islands of Fiji, and came in second place.

Past episodes may be replayed any time on YouTube (including one with the author of this very article).
