SWAT Team Responds To Building In Downtown Hoboken

A SWAT Team and mobile crisis unit responded to a residential building in downtown Hoboken on Sunday.

HOBOKEN, NJ —A SWAT Team responded early on Sunday evening to a residential building in Hoboken, sources said.

"Not sure of the situation but someone has barricaded themselves on the 5th floor of 77 Park Ave.," said a person on Twitter.

Other sources said that law enforcement officials were able to safely remove a person who was having a crisis.

"I can confirm Hoboken Police, Hoboken Fire, Hudson County SWAT, Port Authority PD, and a JCMC [Jersey City Medical Center] Crisis Team responded to the 50 block of Park Ave earlier today," said Hoboken police spokeswoman Marci Rubin.

"The situation has been resolved safely," she added.

The building is a luxury apartment building that was also advertised by AirBnb as offering some "AirBnb-friendly apartments."

No further information was released on the matter.
