Jersey City Teen Charged With Gun Possession After Glock Found In Car In Hoboken
A 2-month investigation started with a .45 caliber handgun being found in a car. A Jersey City teen and a Hoboken juvenile were charged.
HOBOKEN, NJ — A 19-year-old man and a juvenile were charged by with weapons possession this week after a 2-month investigation started with a Glock handgun being found in a car in Hoboken in July, police said.
Davante Gregory, 19, of Jersey City, and a juvenile who lives in Hoboken were charged this week as part of an ongoing investigation by the Street Crimes Unit of the Hoboken Police Department, police said on Friday.

- Possession of a handgun for unlawful purpose
- Unlawful possession of a weapon
- Possession of hollow point bullets
Police said that around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, they were called to investigate a vehicle with a potential handgun in it, in the area of 655 Sixth St., the west side of Hoboken.

During the on-scene investigation, the vehicle in question was towed and a search warrant was secured.

A Glock .45 caliber handgun was recovered inside the vehicle, police said.
"Over the last 2 months," police said Friday, "the Hoboken Police Department’s Investigation Bureau followed up on this case and developed probable cause to arrest/charge two individuals. Over the last week the Hoboken Police Department streets crimes unit was able to arrest Davante Gregory 19 of Jersey City and process one juvenile on a delinquency compliant. Both individuals were charged."
