The Mother of All Deals: Hudson Restaurant Week

Every Wednesday, the Mother of All Deals features five great deals for families.

Patch knows every family likes to shop smartly and save money. That's why, every Wednesday morning, we'll compile five great deals on local products, services, meals and activities for families to enjoy.

This week we've got some good tips on menu deals for Hoboken restaurants participating in the annual Hudson County Restaurant Week, which runs from July 25 until August 05.

  • at 237 Washington Street has a 4-course dinner for $25. You can choose from the soup du jour or Manhattan clam chowder, then enjoy either a Caesar or house mixed salad. For an entree you can decide between a junior cut sirloin, petite sirloin & shrimp, barbequed ribs or a 24-ounce steak (which is $6 extra). Finally, for dessert you can enjoy a nice ice cream cake roll.
  • at 163 14th Street has a 3-course dinner for $35. You can start with either applewood smoked bacon with apple slaw, calamari salad or the soup-of-the-day, then either filet mignon, roasted chicken, sesame crusted salmon or the ravioli-of-the-day, and finally sticky toffee pudding, almond flan or the "Snoboken," which is a signature dish featuring vanilla ice cream, chocolate fudge and chocolate cake.
  • The at 340 Sinatra Drive has a 3-course dinner for $35. For appetizer you can choose either tomato basil soup, frito misto (calamari, sea bass & clam strips), beef tenderloin skewers, Santa Fe spring rolls, mac 'n' cheese fritters, grilled asparagus & goat cheese bruschetta or a seven leaf salad. For an entree you can pick either the sesame seared sushi grade tuna, grilled salmon filet, angus hanger steak, beef short rib, porcini mushroom chicken medallions or the vegetable risotto. Finally, for dessert you can pick either the “Death by Chocolate” brownie, peach and blueberry cobbler or key lime tart. The restaurant also offers a 2-course lunch for $18 with many of the same appetizers and entrees.
  • The at 505 Madison Street is offering a 3-tapas and specialty drink special for $30. You can choose any three items from a menu that includes rib sliders, a veal and ricotta meatball slider, BLT bites, Cajun chicken kabobs, veal and ricotta meatballs, boneless buffalo wings, BBQ chicken quesadilla, chicken dumplings, Hawaiian shrimp, smoked salmon, baja crab tostada, two apple salad or a classic Caesar salad, plus many other options. You can then also enjoy a cocktail from a list of over a dozen drinks.
  • Finally Zylo, inside the W Hotel at 225 River Street has a 3-course dinner for $35. To start, try either a Caesar salad, the custom Zylo salad (assorted baby greens, pickled vegetables, red wine vinaigrette) meatballs or fluke crudo (pickled ramps, chilies, cilantro, sunchoke chips). Then you can enjoy an entree from among an 8 oz. skirt steak, grilled Amish chicken, short ribs, or gnocchi bronzino. For dessert you'll get bomboloni, which are brioche donuts filled with vanilla & chocolate cream and raspberry jam. Zylo also offers a 3-course lunch with similar items for $18.
