HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Sunday's sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s are expected to change later at night, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain is expected to be particularly heavy between 9 and 10 p.m., according to various forecasters. Scattered thunderstorms are possible.

Temperatures will rise again Monday, with a high of 85 predicted.

The NWS says for Sunday night: "Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., then isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind 6 to 9 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent."

The rest of the week will be a mix of sun and clouds, with some light rain, but no major weather events expected.
