Veterans Day Ceremony In Hoboken; No Street Sweeping Thursday

HOBOKEN, NJ — The city of Hoboken has announced that the annual Hoboken Veterans Day Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. (Read about a fun-loving young Hoboken man who died in Vietnam in Dennis Sevano's essay here.)

The service, hosted by Hoboken American Legion Post 107 and Hoboken Elks Lodge #74, will take place at the World War I Memorial located near the basketball courts in Elysian Park at 11th and Hudson Streets. Everyone is invited to attend.

City Offices, Street Sweeping, And Parking

In recognition of Veterans Day, municipal offices will be closed, street sweeping will be suspended, and Hop shuttle service will be suspended.

All other parking regulations will remain in effect.

Thursday night paper recycling will occur as scheduled.
