Video Shows Jersey City Councilwoman Trying To Avoid Hoboken Tow
There were more "leaks" than floods in Jersey City and Hoboken this week after a councilwoman's crash with a bicyclist.

HOBOKEN, NJ — After video was released this week of Jersey City Councilwoman Amy DeGise's crash with a bicyclist earlier this month, other videos followed in the press — and now there's one showing DeGise having some trouble in Hoboken.
In a video posted on Hudson County View on Friday, Councilwoman DeGise makes reference to city attorney John Allen — the former chief of staff to Mayor Ravi Bhalla — as her car's about to get towed in Hoboken.
The bodycam video is dated Nov. 19, 2021.

In the video, DeGise pleas with the officer to give her a ticket instead of towing her car. She says she's called John Allen, and also mentions police connections. But the officer says her car still has to be impounded, as it hasn't been registered since 2019.
A rally is planned for Saturday regarding the crash. Read more about that here.
