HOBOKEN, NJ — The National Weather Service predicted "dangerous" snow squalls and high winds in various parts of New Jersey this morning. In Hudson County, the Office of Emergency Management issued a wind advisory from noon today until midnight. They said to expect winds from 15 to 25 m.p.h., with gusts up to 50 m.p.h., and possible snow squalls.

A few towns experienced brief squalls today already. As below video shows, a squall blew through Hoboken around 9:40 a.m., but only brought a few minutes of flurries. This was the scene in front of Firehouse No. 2 on Washington Street, built in 1890 in the Romanesque Revival style. The firehouse, on the National Register of Historic Places, was designed by French, Dixon & DeSaldrern. It's flanked by cast iron pilasters and has been featured as a background in video games including Grand Theft Auto IV.
