Weekend Weather Update: Foggy Skies and Drizzles Predicted for Mother's Day in Hoboken

Forecasters at the National Weather Service are predicting foggy skies with chances of drizzling rain throughout the weekend.

Lows in the region will range generally in the 50s on Saturday and Sunday, and possibly reach into the lower 60s, according to the NWS.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection declared an “Air Quality Day” for several North Jersey counties, including Essex and Hudson, taking effect at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 8, and ending at 11 p.m.

According to the alert, an Air Quality Day means that “ground level ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.”

Sunday: Areas of fog before 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 7 to 13 mph.

Sunday Night: Areas of drizzle after 10pm. Widespread fog after 10pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 65.
