Authorities evacuated West New York Middle School on Friday, possibly due to a bomb threat, a report stated.

WEST NEW YORK, NJ — Authorities evacuated West New York Middle School in New Jersey on Friday, possibly due to a bomb threat, a report stated.
A spokesperson with the West Orange Public School District provided Patch with the following statement about the incident at 3 p.m. on Friday:
“All middle school parents received a robocall notifying them that the middle school was safely evacuated to another location within the district. All students and staff are safe. Do not report to the area of town as emergency responders want to keep as many people out of the area as possible. All parents will receive a robocall update within an hour.”
Hudson TV posted the below video taken at the scene, stating that there had been a “bomb threat.”

K-9 units from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office entered the building to assess if the threat is credible, Hudson County View reported.
