UPDATED: Which Hoboken CVS Will Get The Coronavirus Vaccine?

Some CVS pharmacies in New Jersey said Thursday morning they had shots. Find out where, and what they said about Hoboken.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Among the ways to secure a coronavirus vaccine near Hoboken — besides signing up at the state website, the Hudson County website, Hoboken vaccine websites (here or here), and with certain medical providers — pharmacies are set to receive the shots as well.

Last week, Hoboken was named among 27 municipalities that will receive the vaccine at their CVS locations this week.

As of Thursday morning after 6:30 a.m., CVS' website listed New Jersey as a location with shots available. As of that time, the Hoboken locations were not announced. But shots were listed as available at the following locations, which include nearby Union City and Harrison:

By the end of the day, all the spots were gone, but a town in South Jersey was added Friday morning. It appears that sites may be added any day.

This is the link to sign up. Clicking that link brought users to a site that said: "Please stand by. We’re experiencing heavy traffic. This page will automatically refresh every 30 seconds. Stay with us: we’ll get you in soon." Eventually it gave way to a page with screening questions.

One can also register through the CVS Pharmacy app to get notifications. People without online access can contact CVS customer service: (800) 746-7287.

But what about in Hoboken?

Since Hoboken has three CVS locations, Patch reached out to the company to find out which local pharmacy may get the shots.

A spokesman for the chain said on Wednesday that they are not currently confirming store locations, but that people should sign up on the website.

Should Hoboken be added, it will appear on this list.

"Vaccinations will be by appointment-only and we want to encourage eligible patients to use our online scheduling tool to find a location that is convenient for them to access," said CVS spokesman Joe Goode Wednesday.
