Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In N.J. In Hoboken Area

These N.J. winners will share some of that big, $500 million - and climbing - lottery jackpot.

Looks like some people are going share some of that $500 million - and climbing - historic jackpot

There were seven $50,000 winning New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched 4 white balls and the Powerball for the Wednesday drawing.

One of those tickets was purchased with the Powerplay option, making it worth $150,000.

The winning numbers for the Jan. 6 drawing were 2, 11, 47, 62, and Powerball 17. The Multiplier number was 3.

The winning tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • $150,000 – The Wine Rack, Sutton Plaza, 293 Route 206, Unit 4, Flanders in Morris;
  • $50.000 – 7-Eleven #29776 (N), 272 Liberty St., Little Ferry in Bergen County;
  • $50,000 – Eickhoff Burlington Associates, 1817 Mt. Holly Rd., Burlington Township., Burlington County;
  • $50,000 – Rite Aid #4045, 1434 S. Black Horse Pike, Williamstown in Gloucester County;
  • $50,000 – K & S Delicatessen LLC, 299 Danforth Ave., Jersey City in Hudson County;
  • $50,000 – Creamridge General Store, 794 Route 537 W., Cream Ridge in Monmouth County;
  • $50,000 – 7-Eleven #35894, 375 Brick Blvd., Brick in Ocean County.

In addition to the third prizewinning tickets, there were 347,833 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $1,690,431 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”

Since there were no jackpot winners Wednesday night, the Powerball top prize is expected to reach nearly $800 million for Saturday’s drawing.
