Woman Stabbed To Death In Hudson County, Person In Custody: Prosecutor
"This matter is being investigated as an act of domestic violence," said Hudson County prosecutors after a woman, 24, was killed Tuesday.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — After a 24-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in West New York early Tuesday morning, a "person of interest" is in custody at Hackensack University Medical Center, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday.
The West New York Police Department was notified at 5:54 a.m. on Tuesday of an injured person at 4914 Murphy Place in that town, they said.
Responding officers found a woman "lifeless" with apparent stab wound, the prosecutor's office said. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:31 a.m.

A person of interest is in custody at Hackensack University Medical Center, the prosecutor's office said, but would not release further information.
"This matter is being investigated as an act of domestic violence and additional information is not available at this time," prosecutors said.

They said they would not release the victim's name, pending notification of next of kin.
Fourth DV Incident In County In Short Time
In an unrelated domestic violence incident in Hudson County two weeks ago, a Jersey City teacher was fatally shot. The week before, according to a report, a child, 11, and a woman were stabbed in that city.
That same week, a woman in Harrison was stabbed to death and her son was charged.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the West New York Police Department are investigating the stabbling on Tuesday.
