10 Holmdel Streets Scheduled For Tree Trimming: See Where

As part of routine electrical wire maintenance, several municipal roads are scheduled to receive tree trimming services. See where below:

HOLMDEL, NJ - Several residential streets in Holmdel Township are scheduled to receive tree trimming services, according to a municipal alert.

"An important part of providing reliable electric service for you and your neighbors is clearance between electric wires and trees, the township wrote in a statement. "Tree work is being scheduled now to help prevent outages and related problems. This tree work will be done at no expense to you and will be completed by professional tree contractors using proper arboricultural pruning practices."

Tree trimming services will be provided by First Energy and is slated to begin after May 1. First Energy will leave a notice on the impacted properties with contact information.

Here are the 10 roads scheduled to receive trimming services, per Holmdel Township:

  • Bethany Road
  • Cresci Boulevard
  • Ennis Drive
  • Galaway Place
  • Hillcrest Road
  • Idaho Lane
  • Imbrook Lane
  • Line Road
  • Stone Hill Road
  • Van Brackle Road

Tree trimmings will be fed through a wood chipper, with chips available to residents free of
charge. These chips are available by the truckload (approximately 10 cubic yards and will cover an area 10 by 100 feet, 3 to 4 inches deep). Wood that is large to be run through the chipper will be cut into manageable lengths and left on the property, according to the alert. Wood chips can be requested by contacting First Energy.
