$18,000+ Worth Of Jewels Stolen From Holmdel Kay Jewelers: Cops
Two diamond rings, valued at over $9,000 each, were stolen from the store over Labor Day weekend, according to Holmdel police.
HOLMDEL, NJ – The Holmdel Township Police Department is currently investigating a theft at a local jewelry store, according to officials.
Two diamond engagement rings were reportedly stolen from Kay Jewelers in Holmdel on Monday at approximately 2:21 p.m. after a male subject entered the jewelry store and requested to view two diamond engagement rings.
While viewing the items with an employee, the subject took the rings off of the counter and fled the store. The rings were valued at $9,000 each, according to police.

Holmdel police were assisted at the scene by the Hazlet Township Police Department and the Hazlet K-9 unit.
The subject is described by police as a white male with a stocky build in his early to mid-30s. He has short blonde hair with tattoos on both upper arms and was wearing a gray tee shirt, black sweatpants and a black New York Yankees baseball hat.
