HOLMDEL, NJ - Two students at Holmdel High School recently tested positive for COVID-19, according to district officials.

In an Oct. 9 message to parents, interim superintendent Dr. Leroy Seitz confirmed the two cases, notifying district families that the students were last in school on Tuesday, Oct. 6. It was not immediately clear if the two cases are related.

“The Monmouth County Department of Health (MCDOH) has been notified and we are working closely to mitigate any further risk for exposure,” Seitz wrote. “Per the guidelines from the Monmouth County Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the students and employees who were in direct contact with the students who tested positive will be required to quarantine for 14 days. In addition, the classrooms are currently closed and will undergo a deep cleaning and sanitization process this weekend.”
