2nd Arrest In Holmdel/Hazlet Car Break-In Spree
Police say these two Old Bridge/Cranford men are suspects in the following car thefts this past winter in the Holmdel/Hazlet area:
HOLMDEL, NJ — A second man has now been arrested in connection with numerous cars being broken into and stolen in Hazlet, Holmdel, Aberdeen and Manalapan this past winter, from November into February, Holmdel police announced Monday.
As Patch reported, in March police announced that Oleksandr Stadnytsky, 26, of Old Bridge, was arrested in Hazlet and charged with breaking into cars and stealing cash and credit cards from inside, as well as sometimes driving off in the car if the key fob had been left inside. Most of those incidents occurred in Hazlet; he stole or broke into cars on Galway Drive, Convent Court and Kildare Drive.
Now on Monday, April 7, Holmdel police say Matthew Dimarco, of Cranford, has been charged in connection with Stadnytsky. Holmdel police say Dimarco is connected with vehicle break-ins and a van being stolen in the area of Chestnut Ridge Road in Holmdel on Feb. 2 of this year.

Dimarco is charged with three counts of burglary, one count of credit card theft and one count of fraudulent use of a credit card.

November 18, 2018 (Hazlet): Stadnytsky burglarized multiple vehicles in the Raritan Valley section of town and stole tools, cash and a computer, police say. He then entered a Hyundai Sonata from Galway Drive and drove away with it, cops said.
January 30, 2019 (Hazlet): Stadnytsky entered a Nissan Pathfinder and Chevy Silverado on Convent Court and stole cash from inside the cars, police allege. He then stole the Pathfinder and drove away with it, cops said. Later that day, he was observed using a stolen credit card from one of the cars at a Walmart in Kearny, police said.
February 2, 2019 (Holmdel): In the area of Chestnut Ridge Road, it was discovered that several vehicles had been burglarized and one van, which had keys left inside, had been stolen. Dimarco was charged in that incident.
February 4, 2019 (Hazlet): Hazlet police say Stadnytsky entered an Acura MDX on Kildare Drive, stealing a computer from the car and also driving away with that vehicle.
There were other similar crimes in Aberdeen and Manalapan, but police did not give details in those cases.
Holmdel police remind all residents to always lock their vehicles, and bring the keys into the house.
"As always, we encourage our residents to call the police immediately if they notice any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods," police said.
