Two Men Arrested For Car Burglary Spree Across Monmouth County
They are accused of breaking into cars in multiple cars in Matawan, Marlboro, Colts Neck, Holmdel, and Hazlet.

HOLMDEL, NJ— Two men were arrested in connection to a string of car burglaries that occurred across Monmouth County, police said.
Michael Grillo, 20, of Aberdeen, and Anthony Ruggiero, 20, of Matawan, were arrested for breaking into cars in Matawan, Marlboro, Colts Neck, Holmdel, and Hazlet in November.
Grillo has a history of car burglaries, and has been arrested for it twice before. His first arrest was in December of 2015 for breaking into three cars in Aberdeen over the course of one night. He was arrested again this past May for breaking into three cars in the Oxford Lane area of Aberdeen.

Between Nov. 6 and 7, the men broke into five cars in the Sweet Briar Lane neighborhood, off of Schanck Road in Holmdel. According to the arrest report, they stole Puma and Ferrari sunglasses, a cell phone charger, and a navy blue Tori Burch purse.
The next week, on Nov. 14, they were arrested in Matawan for breaking into two cars, while Grillo was in possession of oxycodone pills and Xanax bars. That time, police say the pair stole a wallet, Persol sunglasses, and Beats headphones, with a total value of $500.

Over the course of their five town crime spree, police say they stole cell phones, tablets, sunglasses, GPS devices, softball equipment, medical equipment, backpacks, laptops, money and wallets.
Grillo is currently being held on a total of $110,500 bail for all his charges. Ruggiero is being held on $108,000 bail.
